Quimby School #2, Hastings Township, Barry County, Michigan

Location: withheld since this is now a private residence.

Now identified as Quimby School #2 through an email from a kind gentleman, in use as a school from 1869-1965, this apparent schoolhouse on M79 in Hastings Township has no school identification sign remaining and was not in the catalogs I used as my sources for Michigan schoolhouses. I just happened to pass it on the road, and photographed it and included it in this survey because it sure looked to me like a wood-frame schoolhouse on a fieldstone foundation with a bell tower at the front of the roof. It has a single centered front door with 3 windows on each side of the schoolhouse, and an added-on door on one side. Since that chance visit and publication on this page as "Unknown Schoolhouse on M79", I was emailed the information and updated it here.
