Shultz School, Hope Township, Barry County, Michigan

Location: 42.57390, -85.35629, at 5463 M-43, Hastings, MI.

I could find very little information about Shultz School, which is now located on grounds of the Hope Township Hall. It was purchased by Hope Township from the Hastings School District, moved to its current location, and used as the Hope Township Hall until the present hall, much larger, behind the schoolhouse, was built in 1986. It's a wood frame structure with 5 windows on one side and one on the other, in line with the Standard School requirements of the early 20th century. A single door is centered in the front and there is a window on either side of it. There is a bell tower, covered in louvers, so I can't see whether there's a school bell inside. The building has an old-looking rusted metal roof. This building is similar to the nearby Brown School.
