Tryon School, Royalton Township, Berrien County, Michigan

Location: 42.01448, -86.43483, at 912 E John Beers Rd, St Joseph, MI.

Tryon School is a wood-frame structure built in 1864. It's painted white with a asphalt shingle roof. It has 3 large windows on each side and a single centered door in the front with a transom window above it to provide light. A bell tower still holds a nice-looking school bell. There is an addition on the back of the building. The schoolhouse is now used as a community center and is also available for rental. It was completely restored in 2000.
