Prairie School, Essex Township, Clinton County, Michigan

Location: 43.04585, -84.62069, at the southeast corner of Colony Road and Grove Road.

Prairie (AKA Wolcott) (District No 1) School was built in 1873 and in use as a school until 1957. It's current use is unknown. It's a nice-looking brick building without any three-dimensional features in the brickwork. It has a solid metal roof, a sealed up bell tower, and sealed up windows. The plaque above the door reads "Essex School - Dis No 1 - 1873".
