Verona Mills School was built in the fall of 1980 to replace the original school from 1867 which burned 113 years later on March 18 1980. It is a wood-frame schoolhouse, painted white, and is still in use as a school, with 24 students enrolled. The school bell was cast in 1892 and reconstructed in the front yard of the replacement schoolhouse in May 1992.
