Bowne Center School has been renovated into a museum for Bowne Township one-room schools. It is a wooden frame structure, painted white, with an intact bell tower but no remaining school bell. Three large windows are on each side, and a single doorway is in the front. The Alto Bowne Center United Methodist Church is across the street.
