Dryer Schoolhouse, Lenox Township, Macomb County, Michigan

Location: 42.77001, -82.85483, at 63997 Omo Rd, New Haven, MI.

Dryer Schoolhouse, built circa 1900, is being eaten by Mother Nature. It's a rectangular wood-frame schoolhouse with 3 windows on each side and a centered front door with a window on either side of it. The windows are all boarded up, the roof has large holes, and all the wood could use a coat of paint. There is a bell tower, but no school bell inside.

The last of those photos above was taken on August 30, 2018. I returned to the site on June 22, 2021, and found that the schoolhouse is gone with only a minor trace of the footprint of where it once stood. That, too, will be gone soon. I guess the paint is no longer needed.
