District No 6 School, Evergreen Township, Montcalm County, Michigan

Location: 43.25381, -85.07319, on S Sheridan Rd, across from Evergreen Rd, in Sheridan, MI.

I couldn't find any information about this school, but it is a wooden schoolhouse and it appears to have been added onto many years ago due to the extreme weathering of the original schoolhouse and the presumed addition. It retains it's bell tower, which no longer holds a school bell. A tall brick chimney still exists at the rear of the school, under which a pot-belly stove must have been located. 4 large windows once existed on one side of the building, and the other side is where what looks like an addition to me was attached to the original schoolhouse, making an L-shaped final building. The school has a metal roof, so somebody has made an effort to save it. To my eyes, this is a very photogenic schoolhouse, and I hope it will be saved.
