Washburn School was built in 1907 at Ten Mile Road, east of Rushton Road, in Green Oak Township of Livingston County, Michigan. It was moved in 1984 to its current location in South Lyon Historic Village, at 300 Dorothy St. It is a rectangular wood-frame structure with 3 windows on each side. The front face has only a single centered entrance door with a transom window above it to provide some light. There is a bell tower with a school bell inside.
