Delaware School District No 6, Delaware Township, Sanilac County, Michigan

Location: 43.62246, -82.68787, on the south side of Snay Rd half way between Hunt Rd and Maple Grove Rd.

Delaware School District No 6 is a red brick schoolhouse, unusual in the fact that it has a hip roof instead of the more traditional gable roof used in most one-room schoolhouses. No sign remains identifying the school, and in fact, I'm very unsure that this is the correct name for the school since it was simply identified in a catalog as "School6". I suspect this is correct, though, since the schoolhouse 2 miles down the road is called "School3" in that same catalog, and has a sign identifying it as Delaware School District No 3. No bell tower remains, but an outhouse remains behind the building.
