A Tourist in Rome - Macrinus

Birth:165 AD
Death:June 218 AD
Emperor:April 217 - June 218

Macrinus ruled jointly with his 10-year-old son Diadumenianus. He was the first emperor to never visit Rome during his reign. Elagabalus was going to take over as emperor, so Macrinus was headed back to Rome to defend his emperorship. During the trip he was recognized, captured and killed.
