Bell Tower School, Oneida Township, Eaton County, Michigan

Location: 42.75563, -84.77666, at 3121 E Grand Ledge Hwy, Grand Ledge, MI.

Bell Tower School (Oneida District No 4) was built in 1900. It is now an adult foster care facility with a prominent intact bell tower (but no school bell), and a modern blue metal roof. The school identification sign above the front door reads "Oneida District No. 4, 1900", confirming the basic facts about the school. It looks like the schoolhouse was originally a brick structure, and all except the bottom four feet and a small border around the school identification sign was covered by a stucco or concrete material at some point. The design of this school looks similar to Capitol Hill School, Maple Ridge School, McKinley School, Old Stone School, Thayer School, Salisbury School and Monterey Center School.
